Try A Pint From Portland’s Pono Brewing Company

The Pono Brewing Company was established in 2013 by a group of friends who had been active in the homebrewing community for several years. Pono’s beers are brewed with inspirations and ingredients from the South Pacific as well as popular craft-brew styles. Join The Hoppy Brewer in a Pono Brewing beer tasting event on Thursday, April 27th, 2017 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Learn more about Pono Brewing below.

Both Larry and Josh have been very active in the homebrewing community winning several awards between the two of them including Homebrewer of the Year for the Oregon Brew Crew in 2012, as well as the Widmer/OBC Collaborator competition in 2011.

Erick Russ is a local entrepreneur, serious foodie and world traveler. He and Larry, quite an adventurer himself, met through a friend and discovered they had a mutual love of beer, reggae music and diverse cultures.

This group of friends decided to share their passions and common interest with others by creating beers with flavors and styles from all over the world with a focus on the tropical and exotic.
