The Deschutes Brewery is a family and employed owned brewery, established in 1988. Deschutes started their beer adventure in Bend, Oregon, currently home to their Tasting Room, Public House and Brewery overlooking the scenic Deschutes River. Philosophy

Deschutes Brewery has lived by the words “do your best and next time do it better” since the day our doors opened in 1988. Going the extra mile to do the right thing wherever possible is built into our standard operating procedure. This thinking steers our Sustainability Team to ensure the company uses fewer resources, while simultaneously maintaining a productive and healthy workforce, and creating lifelong fans.

As a member of our local and global communities, we take responsibility for our influence on the planet. We balance what we take with what we give back by tracking our economic, environmental, and social efforts. We actively seek out opportunities to positively impact the communities where our beer is available. By working with the Deschutes River Conservancy, we’ve been able to restore one billion gallons of water into the Deschutes River every year to offset what we use to brew our damn tasty beer. This is just one such example.

We have accomplished much to be proud of since 1988, yet there remains work to be done. We will continue to contribute solutions that make a real difference. We hope our activities will inspire others to do the same.
